On April 18, 2026, LIUNA Minnesota and North Dakota hosted their biennial Laborers Health and Benefits Fair at the Laborers Training Center in Lino Lakes, MN. This year’s theme, “Get Connected to Wellness,” focused on health, support, and community.
Despite cold weather, members and their families showed strong participation and commitment to their health. More than 65 vendors provided resources, services, and opportunities to explore wellness options. Designed as a family-friendly event, activities for all ages helped create a welcoming atmosphere.
The event featured impactful speakers who inspired attendees with messages of strength and perseverance. Rich Jones, co-founder of YouTurn Health, shared his personal journey through addiction and mental health struggles, emphasizing the importance of asking for help and supporting others. John Kriesel also shared his powerful story of overcoming adversity, delivering a message centered on resilience, gratitude, and the daily choice to keep moving forward.
To support engagement with vendors and available services, members who visited booths were entered into giveaways, encouraging exploration of wellness resources.
